Following an Oxford Brookes press release, the study has featured in national and local news.
The SOOLE project informed the Channel 4 News segment on wind turbines on 05/09/23 as the Government somewhat relaxed planning permission rules. The segment on public opinion starts at 1:21 (direct link). It leads with a discussion of a recent national YouGov poll (national level figures are easier to communicate than SOOLE's local-specific results). The vox pops are from Greenham Common because Greenham Common is a SOOLE study site and thus local opinion is known. Dr. Ben Kenward of SOOLE features at 3:16 (direct link). That soundbite is a reasonable 10-second summary of SOOLE's responses to recent government consultations.
